Senate President Godswill Akpabio has described himself as the highest-ranking Christian currently serving in the Nigerian government, attributing his political elevation to what he called the “exceptional grace of God.”
Akpabio made the remark during a recent public engagement, where he reflected on his journey in politics and the influence of faith in his rise to national leadership. He noted that his position places him as the most senior Christian officeholder in the country’s political hierarchy, a responsibility he said he does not take lightly.
