𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗱𝗶 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝘂’𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The family of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has raised concerns over what they describe as the refusal of a court to grant a production order that would allow him to be moved from Sokoto to Abuja for the hearing of his appeal.

According to the family, Kanu’s legal team had approached the court seeking a warrant that would ensure his safe transfer to the Federal Capital Territory, where the appeal is scheduled to be heard. However, they claim the court did not grant the request, a development they believe could hinder his right to fair hearing.

They expressed frustration over the setback, noting that Kanu remains in custody despite multiple efforts to secure his appearance in court. The family appealed to the judiciary to ensure that due process is followed and that Kanu is given the opportunity to properly defend himself.

They also called on the federal government and relevant authorities to respect court procedures and facilitate his transportation to Abuja, stressing that justice must not only be done, but must be seen to be done.
