Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation Enduring Peace, have uncovered a suspected gun-running base in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, leading to the recovery of a significant cache of weapons and ammunition.
The operation, carried out during a coordinated raid on the criminals’ hideout, followed credible intelligence on the activities of the syndicate believed to be supplying arms to criminal groups within the area.
According to security sources, the troops stormed the location in the early hours of the day, arresting several suspects and recovering rifles, ammunition, and other military-grade equipment hidden within the compound.

The authorities said the successful operation is part of ongoing efforts to curb the proliferation of illegal arms and dismantle networks fueling insecurity across Plateau State.
The suspects are currently in custody and undergoing interrogation, while the recovered weapons have been transferred for further investigation.
Security forces have assured residents of their commitment to restoring peace and safeguarding communities in the region.
