News

The Israeli military announced on Friday that it has received three unidentified bodies from the Gaza Strip through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).According to a military source, the remains were transferred as part of ongoing humanitarian coordination between Israel and the Red Cross. Preliminary assessments suggest that the bodies are not those of Israeli hostages held in Gaza.

“The bodies are currently undergoing forensic examination to determine their identities and origins,” the source said, adding that the process is being handled with full cooperation between the military and relevant authorities. The handover comes amid continued efforts by Israel and international mediators to account for missing persons and facilitate the recovery of hostages and remains amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
