The Kebbi State Police Command has presented cheques worth N33,816,610.97 to the families of 50 police officers who lost their lives in active service.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Chris Aimionowane, while presenting the cheques on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, said the gesture was part of the Group Life Assurance and IGP’s Family Welfare Scheme aimed at supporting the dependants of fallen heroes.
He commended the late officers for their dedication and sacrifices in protecting lives and property, assuring that the Police Force remains committed to the welfare of both serving and deceased personnel’s families.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Police authorities for the financial support, describing it as a timely relief during their difficult times.
