Protest: Police Deploy Personnel to Lekki, Ojota, Other Flashpoints

The Lagos State Police Command has deployed operatives to strategic locations, including Lekki, Ojota, and other identified flashpoints, in response to reports of planned protests across the country.In a statement on Monday, the Command assured residents that Lagos remains peaceful and secure, urging the public to go about their lawful activities without fear.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the deployment was purely precautionary to forestall any breakdown of law and order.“Lagos is calm. Our officers are on ground across the state to maintain peace and order. We urge residents not to panic or spread unverified information,” Hundeyin stated.

He added that the Command would continue to monitor the situation closely and respond swiftly to any disturbances, emphasizing that any attempt to disrupt public peace would be met with appropriate action.
