Madagascar was thrust into military rule on Wednesday after an elite army unit led by Colonel Hery Rakoto seized control of the government, following the impeachment of President Andry Rajoelina.In a televised address, Colonel Rakoto announced the suspension of the constitution and dissolution of parliament, pledging to restore order and organize national elections within two years.
