Reno Omokri has called on Nigerians to change the negative way they use the phrase “Nigeria has happened to me.”
According to him, whenever misfortune or unpleasant experiences occur, many people are quick to blame the country by saying that Nigeria happened to them. However, the same people often fail to acknowledge the positive things they enjoy within the nation.
Omokri stressed that Nigeria is not just about challenges or setbacks; it is also a land of opportunities, blessings, and remarkable success stories. He urged citizens to recognize and celebrate the good that comes their way in Nigeria instead of only highlighting the bad.
“People are quick to distance themselves from the nation when something goes wrong, but they take personal credit when good things happen in their lives. For me, I choose to embrace Nigeria in both the good and the bad. May Nigeria keep happening to me,” he affirmed.
