Korede Bello on a Life Well-Lived

In a recent installment of his Wellness Wednesday series, Nigerian singer Korede Bello shared a profound message about what truly matters in life. He argued that we often prioritize the wrong thing, focusing on living a long life instead of living a meaningful one.

According to Korede, the universe doesn’t care about the number of years we’re here. What really counts is the value we add and the impact we make. “It’s not enough to live long,” he said. “What matters is you live well.”

He explained that our bodies are designed to keep us alive just long enough to “do something good” and “contribute to the ecosystem of life.” To illustrate his point, he referenced historical figures like Alexander the Great and Jesus, both of whom had a monumental impact on the world despite their relatively short lives. Their legacies, he noted, prove that a life’s worth is measured by its influence, not its length.

Korede Bello’s message is a powerful reminder that our focus should be on creating a lasting legacy through our actions, rather than simply accumulating years.
