In an effort to protect the public from reckless driving, a Dangote truck was recently stopped and parked by the roadside. The driver was found to be unlicensed, a common and dangerous issue that puts our people at risk. The truck and its occupants were held until 9 PM, ensuring the safety of residents returning home.
The community believes that Dangote has a critical responsibility to address these issues. As Africa’s wealthiest individual, with a significant portion of his income generated in Edo State, Aliko Dangote must take direct action to prevent further tragedies.
The human cost of this negligence is unacceptable. Just yesterday, a Dangote truck claimed the lives of six people.
This is not an isolated incident; an 11-month-old case remains unresolved, with a 22-year-old girl still hospitalized and facing massive medical bills after being struck by one of your unlicensed, reckless drivers.
