A violent clash involving suspected cult groups has claimed the lives of three people, including a 22-year-old man, in the Oreta community of Ikorodu, Lagos State.
According to reports, the incident occurred during a confrontation between rival cult factions, sending panic through the community as residents fled for safety. The attackers reportedly opened fire, leaving three victims dead and several others injured.
Security operatives were alerted to the scene and have since launched an investigation into the killings. Authorities are also working to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
Residents of Oreta have expressed concern over the recurring incidents of cult-related violence in the area and are calling on security agencies to strengthen efforts to curb criminal activities and protect lives and property.
