Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has declared that securing the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election is now his foremost political priority.
Speaking during a gathering of party stakeholders and supporters, the governor said the economic reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration are beginning to yield positive results and deserve continued support.
Oborevwori noted that Delta State has benefited from policies implemented by the federal government, particularly in areas of infrastructure development, increased revenue allocations, and economic growth initiatives. According to him, continuity in leadership would help consolidate the gains already being recorded.
The governor urged residents of the state and members of the ruling party to remain united and work towards ensuring Tinubu secures another term in office. He emphasized that the president requires more time to fully implement his administration’s agenda and deliver long-term benefits to Nigerians.
Oborevwori also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the federal government, stating that collaboration between state and federal authorities remains crucial for sustainable development and improved living conditions for citizens.
His comments come amid growing political discussions and early preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political actors already positioning themselves for the next electoral cycle.
