The management of Federal University Lokoja has introduced a new initiative tagged the “One-Day Vice-Chancellor” programme aimed at motivating students and promoting academic excellence on campus.
The initiative was announced by the institution’s new Vice-Chancellor, Gbenga Ibileye, as part of efforts to give students a closer experience of leadership and encourage greater involvement in the university’s academic and administrative culture.
According to the programme design, selected students will have the opportunity to step into the role of Vice-Chancellor for a day, gaining firsthand exposure to decision-making processes and institutional leadership responsibilities.
The university says the scheme is intended to inspire ambition, strengthen student engagement, and build future leaders within the academic community.
