Tragedy struck in Kwara State after armed gunmen invaded a prayer ground, killing three worshippers and abducting 15 others during a violent attack.
According to reports, the attackers stormed the prayer gathering and opened fire, causing panic as worshippers attempted to flee for safety. Three people reportedly lost their lives during the incident, while several others sustained injuries.
The gunmen also whisked away 15 worshippers to an unknown destination, leaving families and residents in fear and distress.
Following the attack, security operatives, including the police, launched a rescue operation aimed at tracking down the kidnappers and securing the release of those abducted. Authorities have assured the public that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators and restore calm in the area.
The incident has once again raised concerns over the growing insecurity and recurring attacks in parts of the country.
