An inmate has escaped custody in Yobe State following a road accident involving a vehicle transporting prisoners. The incident occurred while officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service were conveying inmates under custody.
According to reports, the vehicle was involved in a crash, creating an opportunity for one of the inmates to flee the scene amid the confusion that followed the accident. Authorities have since identified the escapee as Dahiru Mohammed.
