The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed that the death toll from the petrol tanker explosion in Niger State has risen to 39, with more than 60 others injured.According to NEMA officials, the tragic incident occurred when a tanker loaded with fuel overturned and exploded, engulfing nearby vehicles and buildings in flames.

Rescue workers and security agencies swiftly responded to the scene to evacuate victims and contain the fire.The injured are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals across the state, while authorities have begun investigations to determine the cause of the explosion.NEMA has urged motorists to adhere strictly to safety regulations, especially when transporting flammable materials, to prevent future tragedies.
