The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has said that the recent increase in terrorist attacks across the country is part of a coordinated effort aimed at distracting President Bola Tinubu from his ongoing reform agenda.
He made the statement on Tuesday in Abuja, describing the wave of insecurity as a “gang up” against the administration, allegedly designed to shift attention away from government policies and economic reforms.
Akpabio insisted that despite the security concerns, the government remains committed to implementing its reforms and delivering on its promises to citizens.
His comments come amid rising concerns over insecurity in parts of Nigeria, with increasing calls for stronger and more effective responses from security agencies.
