Police Armourer Commits Suicide as NSA Cracks Down on Arms Dealers in NigerMinna, Niger State

Minna, Niger State – DSP Isah Abdullahi, a police armourer attached to Mopol 12, has died by suicide during an investigation into missing weapons and ammunition.
Authorities discovered that 13 AK‑47 rifles and over 2,000 rounds of ammunition were unaccounted for during a routine audit at the armoury. DSP Isah reportedly took his own life on the spot while the investigation was ongoing.
Inspector John Moses, a police officer linked to the case, allegedly confessed that some of the weapons were supplied to criminal gangs in Shiroro Local Government Area.


The National Security Adviser’s operatives have taken over the investigation, transferring key suspects to Abuja for further questioning. Police authorities have confirmed that disciplinary actions are underway for officers on duty during the incident.
