The African Action Congress (AAC) has strongly condemned the recent attacks by gunmen on December 7, 2025, targeting residents of Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area and a church in Lilu, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State.
Describing the attacks as “unacceptable and deeply troubling,” the party urged the authorities to take immediate steps to protect citizens and prevent further incidents.
The AAC also called for comprehensive reforms in the state’s security apparatus, emphasizing the need for proactive measures to address rising insecurity in Anambra and across Nigeria.
“The people of Anambra deserve to live without fear in their communities and places of worship,” the party said, stressing that swift government action is critical to restoring public confidence in safety and law enforcement.
