Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have recorded major breakthroughs in the fight against crime following a series of coordinated raids across different parts of the state.
According to the Command, the operations—carried out by various tactical units—led to the arrest of several suspects linked to kidnapping, cult-related activities, and armed robbery. During one of the confrontations, officers reportedly engaged a criminal gang, resulting in the neutralisation of one of the suspects.
The police disclosed that the arrests were made after weeks of intelligence gathering, surveillance, and targeted strikes on known hideouts used by criminal elements. Recovered during the raids were weapons, ammunition, and other items believed to be used in perpetrating violent crimes.
The Edo State Police Command assured residents that the intensified operations would continue, reaffirming its commitment to dismantling criminal networks and restoring peace and security across the state.
