Bandits have attacked Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, in the Danko Wasagu area of Kebbi State, killing the Vice Principal, Hassan Yakubu Makuku, and abducting an unspecified number of students.
A resident, Aliyu Yakubu, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, saying the bandits stormed the school around 5am on Monday, November 17, without any resistance.“The attack has thrown residents of Maga into panic.
We are all in fear and mourning,” he said.He explained that the vice principal was shot while attempting to protect the students from being taken away.“
He was shot as he tried to stop the bandits from abducting the girls. It’s a huge loss for both the community and the school,” he added.The state police command has yet to comment on the incident.
