
The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of four suspects linked to the brutal killing of the Chief Imam of Sokunkpan village, located in Tsaragi, Edu Local Government Area of the state.
According to police authorities, the arrest followed an intensive manhunt launched after the religious leader was reportedly attacked and killed by unknown assailants.

The suspects were apprehended through coordinated intelligence operations carried out by the police tactical team.Spokesperson for the command, DSP Ejire-Adeyemi Toun, said the suspects are currently in custody and assisting investigators with crucial information that could lead to the arrest of other accomplices still at large.
She assured residents that justice would be served and urged the public to remain calm and continue cooperating with the police by providing useful information that could aid the ongoing investigation.Meanwhile, the remains of the slain Chief Imam have been buried in accordance with Islamic rites, as the community continues to mourn the loss of its spiritual leader.
