The Super Eagles of Nigeria have safely arrived in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, after an unexpected mid-air incident forced their chartered flight to make an emergency stop in Angola on Saturday.According to reports, the team was en route to Uyo from Luanda, where they had participated in an international friendly, when the aircraft developed a technical fault mid-flight.
The pilot was said to have quickly diverted and landed the plane safely back in Angola to prevent any potential danger.After hours of delay and technical inspection, a replacement aircraft was arranged, allowing the players and officials to continue their journey. The team eventually landed safely in Uyo late Saturday evening to the relief of fans and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
No injuries or casualties were reported, and team officials have assured supporters that all players and staff are in good health.The Super Eagles are expected to resume training immediately ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifying fixture scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
