Soldiers Rescue Kidnapped Victims in Kwara Community

Troops of the Nigerian Army under the command of the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division, and Commander, Sector 3 of Operation FANSAN YAMA, Major General Chinedu Nnebeife, have successfully rescued several kidnapped victims during a coordinated operation in Kwara State.

According to military sources, the operation was launched following credible intelligence on the location of the abductors, who had taken refuge in a forested area within the state. Acting swiftly, Major General Nnebeife personally led the troops to the scene, where they engaged the kidnappers in a brief gun duel that forced the criminals to flee, abandoning their captives.All rescued victims were evacuated to safety and have since been handed over to relevant authorities for medical evaluation and reunification with their families.

Major General Nnebeife commended the troops for their professionalism and courage, reaffirming the Nigerian Army’s commitment to maintaining peace and security across Kwara and neighboring states.He further urged residents to continue providing timely information to security agencies to aid ongoing operations aimed at eradicating kidnapping and other forms of criminality in the region.
