Troops of the North-East Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have successfully neutralised nine Boko Haram terrorists during a fierce encounter around Goni Dunari village in Magumeri Local Government Area of Borno State.According to military sources, the operation was part of a fighting patrol aimed at clearing remnants of insurgents hiding in the general area.

The troops reportedly engaged the terrorists in a heavy gun battle, overpowering them with superior firepower.Several weapons, including AK-47 rifles, ammunition, and motorcycles used by the insurgents, were recovered after the operation.

The military reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining offensive operations against Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) elements across the North-East, vowing that it will not relent until lasting peace is restored to the region.
