
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on residents and visitors to participate in the E1 Lagos Grand Prix, Africa’s first-ever all-electric powerboat championship.The event, billed to take place from October 3 to 5, will be hosted on the Lagos waterways, bringing global attention to the city as it joins the E1 World Championship circuit.

Sanwo-Olu described the Grand Prix as a milestone for Lagos, highlighting its potential to boost tourism, showcase the state’s maritime assets, and reinforce its position as Africa’s hub for innovation and sustainability in sports.He assured that adequate security and logistics have been put in place to ensure a safe and memorable experience for spectators, participants, and international guests.

The E1 Lagos Grand Prix is expected to attract global sporting icons, celebrities, and investors while providing Lagosians with a unique opportunity to witness world-class water sport entertainment.
