The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with cattle theft and recovered six stolen cows during an operation in the state.
According to the police, the suspects were apprehended following credible intelligence that led officers to a location where the stolen cattle had been hidden. The recovered animals have since been secured as investigations continue to determine the full circumstances surrounding the theft and identify any other members of the suspected criminal network.
In a separate operation, police also foiled a suspected abduction attempt in Ogun State. Officers reportedly responded swiftly after receiving a distress call, forcing the suspected kidnappers to flee before they could carry out their plan.
The police said no victim was abducted during the incident, adding that efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects. Security operatives also recovered items believed to have been used by the suspects during the operation.
The Ogun State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property, urging residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest police station. The command assured the public that it will continue intensifying efforts to combat crime across the state.
