Borno Government Receives Proof-of-Life Video of Abducted Lassa Students

The Borno State Government has confirmed that it received a 15-second proof-of-life video showing the students who were abducted from Lassa in Askira/Uba Local Government Area.

According to the state’s Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, the video was presented during a security meeting, confirming that the kidnapped students are still alive. The commissioner said the footage has given hope to the families and authorities as efforts to rescue the victims continue.

He assured residents that the state government, in collaboration with security agencies, is working tirelessly to secure the safe release of all the abducted students. He also urged the public to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and continue supporting ongoing rescue efforts.
