The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has recovered an illegally possessed firearm and ammunition from a residence in Uyo, the state capital.
According to the police, the recovery followed reports that the suspect had been habitually threatening people in the area. Acting on the information, officers carried out an operation at the residence, where they discovered the firearm and ammunition.
The suspect is currently under investigation, while the recovered exhibits have been taken into police custody.
