The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has declared that Christians will continue preaching in commercial buses despite a proposed ₦50,000 fine for religious activities in public transport.
Reacting to the proposal, the PFN said it would not be intimidated or discouraged from carrying out its evangelism, stressing that preaching the gospel is a core part of the Christian faith.
The fellowship maintained that if authorities decide to arrest those sharing the gospel in buses, Christians are prepared to face the consequences rather than abandon their mission.
The group also urged the government to protect citizens’ constitutional right to freedom of religion and expression, arguing that peaceful evangelism should not be treated as an offence.
The PFN insisted that its members would continue spreading the Christian message in public places, including commercial buses, while calling for dialogue instead of restrictions on religious activities.
