The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested five suspects in separate operations linked to burglary and unlawful possession of cannabis across the state.
According to the police, the arrests followed intelligence-led operations carried out by officers in different parts of Bauchi. During the operations, several stolen items believed to have been taken during burglary incidents were recovered, while a quantity of suspected cannabis was also seized from one of the suspects.
The command stated that the suspects are currently in police custody and are assisting investigators with useful information to uncover other members of the alleged criminal networks.
Police authorities reaffirmed their commitment to tackling crime and ensuring the safety of residents across the state. They also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
The Bauchi State Police Command added that investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of inquiries.
