The Oyo State Government has joined the Ibadan Labala Masquerades Group in a traditional prayer session aimed at seeking the safe release of kidnapped victims in the state.
The gathering, which involved traditional rites, prayers and sacrifices, was organised as part of efforts to seek divine intervention and support ongoing security measures to rescue those abducted.
Representatives of the state government participated in the session, acknowledging the concerns of residents over the rising cases of kidnapping and the need for collective action in tackling insecurity.
Members of the Labala Masquerades Group offered prayers for the safe return of victims and called for peace and protection across communities in Oyo State.
The development comes as authorities continue to work with security agencies and community stakeholders to improve safety and restore confidence among residents.
