Police Rescue Five Kidnap Victims in Abuja, Neutralize Two Suspects

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have successfully rescued five kidnapped victims during a coordinated operation in the Byazhin community of Abuja.

According to the police, the rescue mission was carried out following credible intelligence on the activities and location of a kidnapping gang operating within the area. During the operation, security personnel engaged the suspects in a gun battle, leading to the neutralization of two kidnappers.

The police also arrested two other members of the gang, while efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend additional suspects who escaped from the scene.

All five victims were rescued unharmed and have since been reunited with their families.

The FCT Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to combating kidnapping and other violent crimes across the territory. Residents were urged to remain vigilant and continue providing useful information to security agencies to support ongoing efforts to improve public safety.
