Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have successfully foiled multiple kidnap attempts and rescued 10 victims during separate operations in Plateau and Kaduna states.
According to military sources, the soldiers responded swiftly to distress calls after armed kidnappers attacked communities in both states. The troops engaged the criminals in gun battles, forcing them to abandon their captives and flee into nearby forests.
In Plateau State, security forces intercepted suspected kidnappers who were attempting to whisk away several residents. The troops overpowered the attackers and safely rescued the victims without casualties.
Similarly, in Kaduna State, soldiers launched a rescue operation after receiving intelligence about a kidnapping incident. The swift intervention led to the rescue of additional victims and disrupted the criminals’ plans.
Military authorities disclosed that a total of 10 kidnapped persons were rescued during the operations. Efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the fleeing suspects.
