Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has taken a swipe at the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing the opposition movement of lacking direction, structure, and a clear plan for Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking during a media interview, Onanuga questioned the credibility of the emerging political coalition, claiming the group has failed to present a manifesto or any concrete policy document that explains how it intends to govern the country if given the opportunity.
According to him, while members of the coalition continue to criticize the Tinubu administration, they have not offered practical solutions to Nigeriaโs economic and political challenges.
โThey talk every day, but where is their manifesto? What exactly is their vision for Nigeria? Nigerians deserve to know what alternatives they are bringing to the table beyond attacks and slogans,โ he said.
The presidential aide further argued that governance requires planning, strategy, and clear economic policies, not just political gatherings or public criticism of the ruling party.
His comments have since sparked reactions online, with supporters of the ruling APC backing his stance, while opposition supporters insist the coalition is still in the process of building its structure and unveiling its agenda for Nigerians ahead of the next general election.
