A traditional ruler has raised alarm that Boko Haram insurgents are threatening to execute 176 abducted persons from Kwara State if their demands are not met within seven days.
The victims, mostly women and children, were reportedly kidnapped and are being held captive by the terrorists, who have issued a deadline for their possible mass execution, according to the monarch.
Authorities have been urged to act swiftly to secure their safe release and prevent a potential tragedy.
