R&B singer D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke) has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a 15-year-old girl whose body was discovered inside a Tesla in Los Angeles.

According to law enforcement officials, the victim, identified as Celeste Rivas Hernandez, was reported missing in 2024 before her remains were later found in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to the singer. The vehicle had reportedly been impounded before authorities made the discovery after noticing a strong odor coming from it.

Prosecutors allege that Burke was connected to the teenager prior to her death and that her body had been concealed inside the vehicle for an extended period. Further charges include allegations related to the concealment of human remains and other aggravating circumstances.

Authorities confirmed that Burke was arrested in April 2026 following a lengthy investigation and is currently in custody as the case proceeds through the court system.

His legal team has denied the allegations, maintaining his innocence and stating that he will be cleared during trial.

The case remains under active investigation as prosecutors continue to review evidence and prepare for court proceedings.
