Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has backed Xabi Alonso to enjoy a successful coaching career despite his brief and challenging spell at Real Madrid.
Speaking on Alonso’s departure from the Spanish giants, Flick said the former midfielder remains one of the most promising young coaches in Europe, stressing that a short or difficult period at a big club does not define a manager’s long-term potential.
