The Department of State Services (DSS) in Kwara State has arrested a medical doctor accused of providing medical supplies to kidnappers operating within the region.
According to security sources, the doctor was intercepted after intelligence reports linked him to the transportation of drugs and other medical items to criminal gangs in remote areas. The supplies were allegedly used to treat injured members of the kidnap groups and support their operations.
The suspect is currently in DSS custody as investigations continue to uncover the extent of his involvement and identify other possible collaborators.
Security agencies have reaffirmed their commitment to dismantling networks that aid banditry and kidnapping across the state.
