Troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued 18 kidnapped victims during operations carried out in Borno and Kogi states. The successful missions were part of ongoing efforts to curb abductions and restore security in vulnerable communities.
According to reports, the troops intercepted and freed the victims after engaging the abductors and clearing the surrounding areas.
However, in a separate incident, bandits abducted two women in Kwara State.
The attackers were said to have invaded a local community, whisking the women away before security operatives could respond.
Security agencies across the affected states have intensified operations to track down the perpetrators and prevent further incidents.
