Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), blaming the party’s prolonged national leadership crisis for his departure.
In a resignation letter addressed to the PDP National Working Committee, Adeleke said the deepening internal turmoil at the national level had made it difficult for him to continue in the party. He noted that despite several efforts by stakeholders to restore stability, the crisis persisted, leaving him with no choice but to step aside.

Adeleke thanked party members and supporters for their backing over the years and assured residents of Osun State that his decision would not affect his commitment to delivering good governance.
His exit marks a significant development in the state’s political landscape, with many now watching closely to see his next political direction.
