The United States Department of Justice has announced the sentencing of two Nigerian nationals — Temitope Bashua and Uchechukwu Gideon Eze — who were convicted for their involvement in multiple fraud schemes valued at a total of $472,000.
According to the DOJ, both individuals played separate roles in the coordinated schemes, which involved deceiving victims through various fraudulent tactics.
Following their convictions, the court handed them a combined prison sentence of four years and three months.
Authorities noted that the convictions underscore ongoing efforts to combat international fraud networks and hold offenders accountable, regardless of where they operate.
