The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has released an official statement addressing the arrest and arraignment of Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, the younger brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
According to the statement signed by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, a petition was received on October 28 against Sammy West and three others over allegations of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.

“Following the petition, several invitations were sent to Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu by the Metro Area Command for questioning, which he failed to honour. Consequently, he was arrested in Lagos on the strength of a duly issued arrest warrant from a competent court and later transferred to Abuja for further investigation,” Adeh said.
She further disclosed that after investigations were concluded, Sammy West was arraigned on November 6, 2025, before a court for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, and theft. The court has remanded him pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions.
SP Adeh emphasized that the FCT Police Command remains committed to professional policing, due process, and the rule of law.
