𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭, 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐚

Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a 20-year-old herbalist, Amechi Okwuokenye, and his elder brother, 26-year-old Smart Okwuokenye, for allegedly abducting and killing two men in Owa-Alidima, Ika North East Local Government Area of the state.

The victims were identified as one of Amechi’s clients and a commercial motorcyclist who had conveyed them to the scene of the crime.According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, preliminary investigations revealed that the herbalist lured his client to a secluded area under the pretext of performing money rituals.

However, in the course of the meeting, he and his brother allegedly murdered both the client and the motorcyclist, disposing of their bodies in a nearby bush.SP Edafe said the suspects were apprehended following credible intelligence and that they have since confessed to the crime.

He added that efforts are ongoing to recover the remains of the victims and ensure justice is served.The Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, condemned the gruesome act and urged residents to be wary of patronizing self-acclaimed spiritualists, assuring that the command remains committed to flushing out criminal elements from the state.
