Police Arrest Three Suspected Drug Dealers, Seize Over 23,000 Illicit Pills in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has apprehended three suspected notorious drug dealers and recovered more than 23,000 illicit drug tablets in various operations across the state.The state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed the arrests in a statement on Tuesday. He said the suspects were arrested in separate raids conducted by operatives of the command’s anti-narcotics unit following credible intelligence.

According to the police spokesperson, the confiscated substances include large quantities of tramadol, diazepam, and other psychotropic drugs commonly abused by youths.Shiisu added that the suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon completion of investigations.He further reiterated the command’s commitment to intensifying efforts against drug trafficking and abuse, urging residents to provide useful information that could aid in curbing the menace in the state.
