The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested a 33-year-old man, identified as Lawan Isa, for possession of counterfeit foreign currency.According to the Command’s spokesperson, the suspect was found with 56 fake $100 bills during a routine patrol operation.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect could be part of a larger network involved in currency counterfeiting and circulation within the state.Isa is currently in police custody and will be charged to court upon the completion of investigations. The Command urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious financial activities to law enforcement authorities.
