Yesterday, a disturbing incident occurred at Playlearn Junction, Asaba. A young man driving a GLK was reportedly chased by a group of men suspected to be police officers. During the pursuit, the men opened fire on the moving vehicle before speeding away immediately after the shooting.
Tragically, one of the bullets struck the front-seat passenger, who is now in critical condition at the hospital.
Since the attack, efforts to identify the officers involved have been ongoing, but no police tactical unit has so far taken responsibility. Each unit contacted has denied any involvement. (Please take note of these denials.)
