
The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, has identified Abia State as a fertile ground for American businesses, stressing that the state offers vast opportunities for trade and investment.

Mills, who made the remark during an engagement with stakeholders, said the US government is keen on strengthening commercial ties with Abia. According to him, the stateโs growing industrial base, particularly in leather, textiles, agriculture, and small-scale manufacturing, positions it as an attractive destination for foreign investors.He noted that the entrepreneurial spirit of the people of Abia, coupled with the state governmentโs drive to create a business-friendly environment, provides a solid foundation for mutually beneficial partnerships.

The ambassador assured that the US mission in Nigeria would continue to encourage American firms to explore investment prospects in the state, while also supporting initiatives that promote trade, job creation, and sustainable economic growth.
