
The 34 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Obinze, Owerri, Imo State, on Friday, decorated eight officers recently elevated to higher ranks.The ceremony, held at the brigade headquarters, was attended by senior military officials, families, and colleagues of the honourees,

who described the promotion as a recognition of hard work, dedication, and loyalty to service.Speaking at the event, the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Usman Lawal, congratulated the officers and urged them to see their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility. He reminded them that promotion in the Army comes with increased expectations in discipline, leadership, and service to the nation.

Responding on behalf of the decorated officers, Major Ugochukwu Nwankwo expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff and the military hierarchy for finding them worthy of elevation. He pledged that they would continue to serve with integrity and renewed commitment.The colourful event also featured the symbolic decoration of officers by their spouses and loved ones, adding a touch of celebration to the solemn military occasion.
