Anambra: Police Arrest 54 Suspects Over Alleged CultismThe Anambra State Police Command has arrested 54 persons over alleged involvement in cult-related activities across the state.The command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday.
He said the suspects comprised 39 males and 15 females, adding that they were apprehended during raids on criminal hideouts in different parts of the state.According to him, the suspects are currently in custody and undergoing interrogation, while investigations are ongoing to determine their level of involvement.Ikenga assured that the police remain committed to flushing out cultism and other violent crimes from the state, urging residents to continue to support security agencies with useful information.
